Make your own Garden Flag
If you don't yet have a garden flag, why not make your own? There are so many ways to make a flag that you don't even need to be artistic. If you want some ideas, look through any home design or decorating magazines to get some ideas. Old standby ideas include flowers and animals.
One of the ways to make a flag is to buy some canvas drop-cloth, it's cheap and readily available. Then, taking some old clothes, cut up some shapes and stitch them to the canvas. There you have a flag.
You can also paint or draw your own design or have your kids do the painting, or, tie-dye the canvas. What about making your own State flag? There are countless ways to do the project and it is a great way to bring the family together with everybody doing their part.
